COVID-19: Global Privacy Assembly Recommendations for Travel PassportsGovernments and entities responsible for processing health data (i.e., vaccination status, negative test results) for domestic and international travel purposes should embed privacy by design and by default into the design of any system, app or data sharing arrangements, conduct a DPIA before the start of processing, abide by data minimisation, purpose limitation and transparency principles, and build sunset clauses into data sharing schemes to account for permanent deletion of data once the pandemic ends.
