COVID-19: Global Privacy Assembly Recommendations for Travel PassportsGovernments and entities responsible for processing health data (i.e., vaccination status, negative test results) for domestic and international travel purposes should embed privacy by design and by default into the design of any system, app or data sharing arrangements, conduct a DPIA before the start of processing, abide by data minimisation, purpose limitation and transparency principles, and build sunset clauses into data sharing schemes to account for permanent deletion of data once the pandemic ends. Legislation: Nevada Proposes Amendments to Internet Privacy ActIf passed, data brokers must establish a designated request address for consumers to submit requests for brokers not to sell any covered information, and respond to a verified request within 60 days after receipt of the request (this may be extended an additional 30 days); data brokers may be fined $5,000 for directly or indirectly violating their consumer rights obligations.
