PRESS RELEASE: 'Five Eyes' focused cyber investment fund has national security in its crosshairs - Media Database - Get the Word Out

Boutique fund manager Arawa Capital has received strong backing from sophisticated investors for its Australian first, wholesale investment fund focused on cyber and national security related businesses.

Graham Cox, founder, and head of investment firm Arawa Capital is leading the ‘National Security Investment Funds’ capital raise and targeted investments into the sector. Arawa is aiming to reward investors by targeting returns of 17% per annum.

Investor interest and awareness has been heightened off the back of last week’s sophisticated cyber-attacks in Australia.

Cox anticipates closing out the initial $50mil capital raising swiftly, which is well on the way to being oversubscribed, based on the registrations received to date.

The tidal wave of investment being made by all levels of government and the private sector in cyber security and related services provides a strong lead indicator for a strong growth outlook. Our fund unlocks the opportunity for investors to participate in the sector.” says Cox.

Providing leadership, guidance, and unrivalled knowledge of the cyber, intelligence and national security landscape is the former Australian Defence Minister and Minister for Defence Industry, Hon. Christopher Pyne. Pyne joins Arawa Capital as chair of the fund’s advisory board and investment committee.

The fund will capitalise on the forecast $800 billion forecast investment required by governments and businesses across the sector over the next 5 years.
