There are several activities that are open throughout the week, so pick a day that's most convenient for you or get involved every day!
Take the Six Day #mycyberjob Social Media Challenge Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn
Take out your phones and join others in sharing your short videos, pictures, or stories on social media about what you love most about #mycyberjob. Throughout the week we are challenging those who work in cybersecurity to reflect on their own workforce experiences. Help spread cybersecurity career awareness by participating in our #mycyberjob challenge. Share at least one reason you love your job in cybersecurity each day of the week between October 18-23, 2021. We can’t wait to see your posts! Make sure to include the hashtag: #mycyberjob and tag @NISTCyber.
Compete in the Virginia Cyber Range Cybersecurity Career Awareness Week Capture the Flag (CTF)
The Cybersecurity Career Awareness Week CTF, hosted by the Virginia Cyber Range, will be Jeopardy-style, meaning it will have challenges across several categories with increasing point values as the problems get more difficult. In support of Cybersecurity Career Awareness Week, this CTF edition will focus on careers in cybersecurity and will include career categories such as cryptography, networking, web applications, reconnaissance, and more!
The Virginia Cyber Range will help kick off the week-long celebration with a CTF webinar demonstration. Attendees will be introduced to CTF competitions, the Virginia Cyber Range platform, and will explore range tools first-hand, testing their skills on the challenge.
Registration is required for both the webinar and Cybersecurity Careers CTF competition.
