Request to Become a Collaborator — Cybersecurity for the Water and Wastewater Sector: A Practical Reference Design for Mitigating Cyber Risk in Water and Wastewater Systems

The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) has issued a Federal Register Notice (FRN) inviting technology vendors, water/wastewater sector members, and other interested collaborators to participate in the Cybersecurity for the Water and Wastewater Sector: A Practical Reference Design for Mitigating Cyber Risk in Water and Wastewater Systems project.

This project will develop a reference design that demonstrates practical solutions for water and wastewater utilities of all sizes. The reference design will use commercially available products and services to address four cybersecurity challenges: asset management, data integrity, remote access, and network segmentation.

There are two ways to join the NCCoE for this project:

Become an NCCoE Collaborator – Collaborators are members of the project team that work alongside the NCCoE staff to build the demonstration by contributing products, services, and technical expertise.
Get Started Today – If you are interested in becoming an NCCoE collaborator for the Cybersecurity for the Water and Wastewater Sector: A Practical Reference Design for Mitigating Cyber Risk in Water and Wastewater Systems project, first review the requirements identified in the Federal Register Notice. To become a collaborator, view the final project description and request a Letter of Interest (LOI) template on our project page. You will receive a link to download the LOI template. Complete the LOI template and send it to the project team at water_nccoe [at] nist.gov. Completed LOI submissions are considered on a first-come, first-served basis within each category of security components as listed in the Federal Register Notice.
