Standing Items
Report RoundupMaureen Lawrence-Kuether from the Virginia Cyber Range shared an overview of the Cybersecurity Career Capture the Flag (CTF) Competition held in support of Cybersecurity Career Week. An Introduction to CTFs webinar was also held to help participants who were new to CTFs.
Framework FeatureAnastacia Webster from CISA and James Ashley from California State University, San Bernardino spoke about TryCyber, a new platform that enables exploration of cybersecurity work. The platform, still in beta release, features 14 micro-challenges, 10 of which are based on NICE Framework Work Roles.
Research ReviewDrew Curtis from Gallup provided a briefing on How Role Models Influence Career Awareness and Attainment. Research revealed that 50% of respondents did not remember receiving career education in middle or high school.
