Standing Items
Report RoundupAlex Michaels from Gartner shared a presentation on Building a Culture of Security Consciousness, a report that introduces a framework that includes practices, influences, and platforms which all surround a security behavior and culture program.
Strategy StoriesTerry Downing-Harris from Towson University presented on Integrating Secure Supply Chain Risk Management into Software Engineering Curriculum. The proposed approach will aim to design learning modules that fit easily into any software engineering course.
Framework FeatureDonna Woods from the Moreno Valley Unified School District shared how the district is using the NICE Framework to create cybersecurity academic pathways. Students are taught how to use the framework to aid in career development.
Research ReviewRamoni Lasisi from the Virginia Military Institute provided a briefing on a proposed Cybersecurity Workforce Readiness Recommender System (CyberReco). The system attempts to identify "readiness gaps" - the cybersecurity knowledge and skills one needs to gain to be workforce-ready.
