WE’VE UPDATED OUR NAME!
Cybersecurity Career Week (formerly Cybersecurity Career Awareness Week) occurs every third week of October. In its 7th year, we’re making a conscious effort to go beyond simply raising awareness of cybersecurity careers and to help drive community members to action. Cybersecurity Career Week will now also focus on sharing resources that increase understanding of the multiple learning pathways and credentials that lead to cybersecurity careers.
The new name supports the existing goals of the annual campaign:
Inspire, Engage, and Inform Society
Inspire, engage, and inform the public about the demand, opportunities, and multiple career options available within the area of cybersecurity.
Demystify Careers in Cybersecurity
Increase understanding of the pathways to prepare a highly skilled and diverse workforce for careers in cybersecurity, to include expansion of knowledge and skills as identified in the the NICE Workforce Framework for Cybersecurity.
Develop a Highly Skilled and Diverse Workforce
Support successful programs and showcase effective resources, especially those that increase participation of women, minorities, veterans, persons with disabilities, and other underrepresented populations.
