Over 450 servers and 3500 laptops were impacted by the malware attack which is suspected to be Ryuk and the file-encrypting malware reached the network through a phishing email. As the city was having a cyber insurance cover of $3 million, Mayor LaToya Cantrell expects the mitigation and recovery costs will never exceed the insured sum.
