NCSC issues home working security guidance for UK businesses

The UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has issued security guidance for organisations as home working increases in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The guidance provides advice for UK companies to reduce the risk of cyber attacks on deployed devices including laptops, tablets and mobiles. There is also advice for employees to help identity typical signs of phishing scams. The NCSC has outlined recommended steps for preparing for home working; setting up new accounts and accesses; controlling access to corporate systems; helping workers look after devices; and reducing the risk from removable media.
