NIST SP 2200 Series
The NIST Office of Weights and Measures (OWM) is currently developing a Legal Metrology Publication Series: SP 2200 to provide our stakeholders with current information on the status and development of U.S. and international legal metrology issues. The SP 2200 series will also include a range of reports on OWM technical activities, guidance, training, and recommended best practices.
Our most recent SP 2200 publication (SP 2200-02) describes the NIST Summary of U.S. Legal Metrology Activities in 2022. We envision this SP 2200 to be published annually and to serve as a central repository and citable source of U.S. legal metrology and weights and measures program and meeting synopses (including NCWM), relevant technical activity and working group summaries, and other inclusive information that may be relevant to our partners, customers and U.S. and international stakeholders.
In addition to the NCWM-NIST national survey on LPG cylinders (SP 2200-01) published in 2022, we will be adding other SP 2200 publications that we believe will be of considerable interest to the legal metrology and weights and measures community. Here is the list:
