On Tuesday, Google announced Chrome browser on Android’s brand-new feature that automatically changed stolen passwords with just a tap. This means Chrome users can stop worrying about compromised passwords as they can fix them with this automated feature. 


Google to use Duplex technology


Google’s Duplex technology enables the password changing feature. It was launched in 2018 and further expanded in 2019. It supports several functions in Google Assistant, such as booking a rental car, food ordering, or purchasing movie tickets. Now it can help users change the password without any difficulty.


Google’s senior product manager for Chrome, Patrick Nepper, stated that the Duplex-powered Google Assistant has now taken over the tiring process of web browsing, including “scrolling, clicking and filling forms, and allows you to focus on what’s important to you.”



“And now we’re expanding these capabilities even further by letting you quickly create a strong password for certain sites and apps when Chrome determines your credentials have been leaked online,” Nepper noted.


How does It work?


Whenever you need to check for stolen passwords on supported applications or websites, Google Assistant will enable a Change Password button. This button will instruct Chrome to search the website and supervise the password changing process automatically.
