The Metasploit crew at Rapid7 is headed out to Las Vegas for DEF CON 27, bringing a new incarnation of the Open Source Security Meetup (OSSM) with us! We will have a Metasploit Suite at Bally’s this year, where we’ll be hosting “Open Source Office Hours” (OSOH). If you’ll be out in Vegas for DEF CON 27, take a moment and ask yourself:
Are you currently working on a Metasploit module/payload and could use some guidance?
Are you modifying Framework and you’d like to discuss?
Are you working on a Framework integration you’d like to chat about?
Do you have questions around contributing to Metasploit?
Would you like to talk with others about your open source project?
If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, you should swing by the Metasploit Suite for OSOH! We’ll update this post with the suite number on Thursday, August 8, 2019. There will be a rotating set of Metasploit folks staffing the suite on the following days and times:
Friday, August 9th: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday, August 11th: 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Space will be limited based on maximum allowed occupancy (if reached, we will follow a one-in-one-out policy).
Important: To foster an inclusive and collaborative space for all community members, please note the following policies for OSSM Open Source Office Hours:
No alcohol or drugs will be allowed in the suite. Those who wish to drink during office hours are welcome to head to the casino instead!
Our Code of Conduct will be clearly posted in the suite. Please help us support and welcome all community members.
