The Pune police will take help from enforcement authorities of 31 countries, including the United States and Canada, to track down the brains and proceeds of the online heist on the Pune-headquartered Cosmos Cooperative Bank in August 2018.Funds worth Rs 94.42 crore were siphoned off by unidentified hackers in what was one of the biggest cyberattacks on an Indian bank.The probe could become a model for cyber fraud investigations. For, unless countries learn to work with each other, and learn to act swiftly, hackers will continue to have an upper hand.
