“GabLeaks”: Far-Right platform Gab is hacked, with posts leaked online

Distributed Denial of Secrets announced that it will be revealing a collection of over 40 million posts from the far-right platform Gab. The group are calling the data reveal “GabLeaks”. According to DDoSecrets a hacktivist who identifies as “JaXpArO and My Little Anonymous Revival Project” collected Gab’s data from the platforms backend databases with hopes of exposing many of the predominantly right-wing users.

Gab has been popular with a number of controversial groups, such as white nationalists, Qanon conspiracy theorists, and promoters of former president Donald Trump’s election conspiracies. The membership numbers of the platform grew after Parler went offline, and supporters of these causes had to gather elsewhere.

According to DDoSecrets data includes all of Gab’s public posts and profiles. The data also contains private group and individual account posts and messages, as well as the passwords for these accounts.
