Come see me speak at IRISSCON in Dublin this week about cybercriminals

I’m off to Dublin this week to join the galaxy of security superstars speaking at IRISSCON 2019.

IRISSCON is the cybercrime conference of the Irish Reporting and Information Security Service, IRISSCERT, and the the organisers have lined up a great agenda and impressive list of speakers (as well as yours truly) including Information Security Magazine’s Dan Raywood, Duo Security’s Dave Lewis, McAfee’s Raj Samani, Mick Moran, Jelena Milosevic, Emma Heffernan, and Jenny Radcliffe.

The title of my talk? “Not all cybercriminals are evil geniuses”

In parallel to the conference, IRISSCERT also hosts the IRISSCON Cyber Security Challenge. The challenge allows Ireland’s top cyber security experts to compete against each other in a controlled environment to see who will be the first to exploit weaknesses in a number of systems and declare victory.

The purpose of the competition is to demonstrate how attackers could gain access to your systems and allow you to learn from the event on how to prevent such attacks from impacting your network.

Sounds like a hoot.

So, get your skates on and register your place at the conference at the Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin on Thursday 21 November 2019.

If you manage to make the event, please do be sure to come up and say hi. And, if you can’t make this one feel free to check out where else I am giving talks in the coming months.
