After brief server-related hiccup, palera1n bootstrap & repository operations now up and running again

If you were experiencing any problems trying to use the palera1n-c jailbreak this past weekend, then you probably weren’t alone. According to announcement shared in the palera1n Discord server on Saturday, the team was unaware they were using a Google Cloud trial to host stuff that had finally expired.

The expiration meant that plenty of jailbreakers who used palera1n or palera1n-c might’ve experienced problems while trying to jailbreak or use the jailbreak’s integrated services, such as bootstrapping or attempting to access the palera1n repository via a package manager app.

Fortunately, the palera1n team was prompt about fixing the issue. In a Tweet shared Sunday afternoon and depicted above, the palra1n team said they’ve revived their servers and that bootstrapping devices and accessing the associated palera1n repository should once again be working properly for all users.


TL;DR, if you were having problems jailbreaking with palera1n or palera1n-c on Saturday, or accessing the palera1n repository, then you should be good to go again starting Sunday afternoon and can try again.
