70% of the entire US population is now on Facebook

Yes, according to new research conducted by LearnBonds, it has been revealed that more Americans are signing up on Facebook than ever before. In fact, as of November 2019, 70.2% of the entire population of the United States was found to be on Facebook which means that out of the country’s total population that is around 327.2 million, roughly 232.6 million people are on Facebook.

The research goes on to reveal that Facebook has more female users than males. As of last month, 53.7% of Facebook users in the United States were women while 46.3% were men.

When it comes to age groups, teens in the US are not big fans of Facebook. For instance, there are only 2.2% of Facebook users age 13 and 17 while 27.5% of Facebook users are people between 25-34 years old which totals 64 million users in the United States.

Moreover, individuals between 35 and 44 years old are the second most popular age group on the social network in which 9.9% were females and only 9% were males.

It is worth pointing out that in just one month, 1.2 million users in the United States alone decided to join Facebook. This represents an increase of 0.518% from October when the number of Facebook users was 231.4 million, wrote Justinas Baltrusaitis of LearnBonds.

The research does not explain whether the growth in Facebook usage is due to the unstabilized political climate in the US or whether it is strictly for “social purposes.”
